Why we are called the Yorkshire Teabags In early days, when the group first started to discuss its presentation, the topic of a band uniform was raised. Dave had been slurping Yorkshire Tea for years and had collected a vast number of gift tokens which he had exchanged for six baseball caps with "Yorkshire Tea" boldly emblazoned on the front - orange on black. Thus it was decided to adopt a uniform which combined these colourful caps with black attire for the men and Christine dressed tastefully to blend with the Yorkshire Tea logo. Having decided how to dress, the next question was "how should we be addressed?". Adam immediately started to refer to the group as the Yorkshire Teabags. At this stage Christine objected, feeling that the "bag" in teabag was inherently derogatory. So...... for a while we compromised and put ourselves about as "Yorkshire T Skiffle", a simple inoffensive title. But as time has progressed, the "Teabag" sobriquet has crept back with all our fans now screaming for the Teabags. So, by popular demand, we are "The Yorkshire Teabags" (with the distinctive "Teabags" rendered as one word).

Forthcoming Film Some interest has been expressed in making a film or TV programme charting our progress along the lines that we can demonstrate a rather unusual way of enjoying retirement (some, but not all, of us have retired).
